We returned to Master Chen Hsi-huang‘s (陳錫煌,) house Sunday morning on April 11, 2021 and observed him and his apprentice Li Yi-xian practicing. Master Chen’s sister Li Xian-zi, who lives next door came by and showed a puppet that resembled their father Li Tien-lu. Mrs. Li had carved the head and made the costume in 2009. Li Yi-xian is the great grandson of Li Tien-lu and part of the I Wan Jan troupe, which Mr. Li Tien-lu had founded in 1932.
