Bergblick - a two months studio program in the South Western part of Utah, located between Las Vegas and Salt Lake City.
THEeTEAM is pleased to announce it’s first studio program: "Bergblick"
The studio is located in the Escalante Valley, Utah. The area that is extremely wide and flat and surrounded by the blue silhouette of mountains. Most parts of the studio ground are covered with dry sage bushes and inhabited by four fire ant communities. Wild horses will occasionally pass through or die on the 1.1 Acre studio space. Dimensions of the studio are 160 ft x 331 ft, lots of natural sunlight and 24/7 access are provided.
Artists are invited to submit proposals to be realized during a two - month residency. The proposal should include a brief description of the project together with some visual materials. The proposals will be reviewed by a professional panel of artists, curators and outdoor experts.

Artists are encouraged to visit the site before applying. Look for directions on the website.

This property has Great Mountain Views and is covered with Grass and Sage Brush. The lot is approx. 1.14 acre and is located in the Garden Valley Ranchos Subdivision, in Southern Utah, in between Newcastle and Modena. There are no building restrictions. No liens or encumbrances on property. This Subdivision and the surrounding area is indeed the Gateway to every Type of Beauty and Entertainment you could Want !! Newcastle Resevior is only about 10 minutes from the property and is a Beautiful little spot for fishing, boating or just relaxing !! St. George is less then an hour away with some of Utahs Best Golfing. Las Vegas is only 2 1ž2 hours, Bryce Canyon is 1 1ž2 hours, Zion National Park is a short 1 hour drive, Grand Canyon in Arizona is about 3 hours away, and of course Lake Powell is only about 3 hours away also. This Lot is Flat and Very Buildable. Water would be by refillable water tanks or by well. I'm told that water shares can be purchased for approx. 400.00 in the local area. Power and Phone have been ran to the subdivision. Some of the Best Mountains in Utah Surround this place. Mount Elenore at 7804 ft, Paradise Mountains at 7992 ft, Indian Peak and the Famous Ski Area of Bryan Head all Loom in the Distance. This is the perfect place to build the Ranch of your dreams. Enjoy some of the Greatest Weather Utah has to offer by riding until your Saddle Sore ! Bring the RV and the Camping Gear !! To be considered submit the following:
- brief description of the project you are planning to realize
- accompanying visuals (sketches, drawings, fakes)
- some background information about you
- tell us how much water you should drink per day in the desert ( and where you want to get it from)

Deadline:
The application must be submitted by Jan. 15, 2003 midnight.

Once all the application are received they will be reviewed by a panel of 8 (two for each corner of the land)

"Bergblick" was an international studio program that was based on 1.1 Acres of land we had purchased in Utah. The program lasted 6 months and was part of a real estate plan to increase the value of the land.
